Irrigation -- It takes time for conservation tillage to help improve the infiltration rate of soils. Compaction and low organic matter content due to past conventional tillage need to be overcome. It takes time to build up a biologic community which will help improve the health of the soil. Until then, poor infiltration and compaction will be problems.
